Made to Measure Panel Blinds
Why choose panel blinds?
If you’re looking for an elegant, yet effective light control solution for your larger windows, panel blinds could be perfect.
When you’re ready to open them, these shades glide from one side of the window to the other, neatly stacking during the day. You can then smoothly slide them into place again when evening arrives.
We have a wide selection of beautiful fabrics available here at Swift Direct Blinds, with some blackout and light filtering options in the collection. The range also includes lots of colours, so you’re sure to find the perfect match for your décor. Whether you’re looking for cooler greys, natural tones or a standout feature blind, we’ve got you covered.
Where to fit panel blinds in the home?
Panel blinds work best on patio doors, bi-folds and any large window space. They can also be used to enhance and utilise your space as a room divider. They’re that versatile, they can even be used as wardrobe doors.
What are the control options for a panel blind?
Our panels are drawn across the head rail using the control cord or a control wand. The control can be positioned on either the left or right-hand-side of the rail. As a wand removes the need for any control cords, this option is completely child safe.
What are the stacking options for a panel blind?
Each of the fabric panels will stack one in front of the other when the blind is open. There are usually three stacking options available: all to the left (five panels); all to the right (five panels), or split in the middle (eight panels).
It’s worth considering the amount of window space each option will take up when the blinds are stacked. Typically each panel will be the total width split by the number of panels, plus 5cm.

The main advantage of using this type of blind is the ability to control light in larger window spaces, maintaining privacy and reducing sun glare. As large windows typically tend to be located in areas where people enjoy the sun – patios and conservatories, for instance – the blinds are an excellent choice, allowing owners to draw them either side of the window, much like curtains.
The blind's cord or wand control mechanism can be made right or left-handed, and all of the blinds, fixtures and fittings are included in the purchase. For cord operated blinds a cord tidy is provided, making sure that your blinds are safe for use in homes with children.
Our panel blinds come in an extensive range of colours and fabrics with both patterned and plain options available, as well as those crafted out of translucent and blackout materials. Whatever your home's décor or style, be sure to take a look through our range – there's sure to be something to suit your tastes.
